Akpa Community Development Association, ACDA, has completed plans to build five rest booths at all the junctions along Otukpo-Igumale road as soon as possible.
The decision of the association was rectified at the National Conference of ACDA held at Adim-Akpa recently.
According to the President of the body, Barr. Aba Ejembi this was meant to alleviate the suffering of the Akpa people waiting under scorching sun or rain waiting to catch up vehicles to their various destinations.
He explained that the booths would be built through partnership with spirited individuals and organizations willing to render assistance to Akweya people.
He urged those interested to contact the ACDA secretariat to workout the details for them to begin the construction work with immediate effect.
In their re-actions, Prof. Steve Oga Abah and the immediate past ACDA President, Dr. Sam Ogiri promised each to sponsor the building of one of the resting booths and called on other illustrious sons and daughters to take up the challenge to reduce the sufferings of the people of the area.
The resting booths will be sited at Otobi, Egbla/Adankari, Akwete/Onyuwei, Igbeji, Ogyoma and Adim junctions.
