Community association solicits support for building

The umbrella union of Akweya people worldwide, Akpa Community Development Association (ACDA) has commenced building of a multi purpose hall building known as the "Unity Hall" and is launching an
appeal for donations on Sunday, December 14, 2014. This was made public in a post by the Chairman of ACDA Abuja Branch, Comrade Friday Idah.

Posting in a Facebook group for all people of Akweya descent, 'It's Time to Move, Akweya,' Comrade Idah solicited donations to carry the project to completion from the roofing stage where the Unity Hall currently is at.

"The ACDA, Abuja branch, is appealing to all Akweya sons and daughters to kindly support us towards the building of our 'Unity hall'," the Chairman wrote. "The project which has since commenced and is now ready for roofing, when completed would have a thousand seats capacity with a mini bar/restaurant, office accommodation/store and toilets."

He described building the Unity Hall as a milestone that was the first of its kind in the history of ACDA. "It is based on this that we solicit your support during our mini fund raising on the 14/12/14, to enable us continue with the project," the energetic leader who was elected in 2013 said.

To contribute, the association asked that donations be made through its First Bank account with name: Akpa Community Development Association Abuja and number: 3017980000.

The Abuja branch may also be reached through the Chairman on +2348055902678 and the Treasurer on +2348077951923.

"Please note that no amount is small," added Comrade Idah. "While counting on your candid support for this noble project, we pray that the good Lord bless and remember you too at your point of need as you partner with us to have a home for our members and generation yet unborn. Please find attached pix of the project level to guide your decision. God bless you."
