Recently, a good looking and softspoken young man, Sylva Happy Apasi, took a pretty lady from Ogbe Ameh's family in Amnayor, Ejor-Akpa, and made her his wife. It was all legal, and everyone present had fun seeing the lady, Blessing Ameh, get tied to her heartthrob. This traditional Akweya wedding took place on the 23rd of December 2016.

They further sealed the traditional wedding with a church ceremony on the 26th of December at Dunamis church, Otukpo under the guidance of Pastor Onoja and a team of ministers. A sumptuous reception followed at St. Ann's Catholic Church compound, Otukpo.

Guests invited for the
event included Mr & Mrs Adeka, who served as the father and mother of the day; a former Akpa Youth Progressives Forum President, Mr Abba Adaudu, who was Chairman; Engr. Dr Adokoma Apasi, Dr Ogbu Humphery, and Mrs Lilian Anyebe. The masters of ceremonies were Tedd Ajah and Odisi Odeeh.
