On Sunday, September 16, 2018, Akweya.com released fashion items meant to push out the Akweya cultural brand. These consist of specially handwoven caps, mufflers/sashes and head ties in Akweya colours.
According to Elizabeth Edebe, who manages the production and marketing, these products will be part of whole new chain of Akweya cultural products, ranging from music, language training videos for children, and Akweya history books.
The Akweya colours which form the theme of this range of products was designed by the late Chief Akpallah Okenyodo and approved by the national conference of the Akpa Community Development Association (ACDA). Its colours are red, green, white and black.
